I’m on draft 3 of my novel and find myself creating new content again. Hopefully, it’s stronger than what it replaced.
As I go back through my novel, I’ve found a number of scenes that are clearly info dumping scenes. Thus, the need for rewriting and just plain writing.
Action (not necessary action sequences: fights, chases, etc.) is necessary for good story telling. Info dumping is boring for your reader. If the information is important, find a way to incorporate it through narration and dialogue (but must feel natural not forced).
