Today, I set up my next scene with the usual character goals, central conflict, and resolution. However, it became obvious I lacked the subject knowledge to write it. After a research break, I loosely outlined the content of the scene and wrote the setting and initial dialogue.

Often when you need to do more research, you can still outline the scene and write what you can. Use the letters TK to indicate terms and names you don’t know. These letters do not appear in any English word. (Some of the best advice I found online) Then come back once you’ve done more research.
