Nanowrimo Day 13: Rewriting

To write or rewrite, that is the question.

I have found that it’s harder sometimes to print off, edit with pencil, and then update my changes to the Word document. However, if I don’t print it off at all, I don’t always see my errors.

Earlier today, I took a section of pure dialogue. I moved it out of a stuffy office to a train ride through the city to an important destination. I added in details like important buildings or monuments that passed by that re-reinforced the theme of the conversation. This broke up the dialogue and added a visual element to the story.

The information included in this section was primarily world-building. It set the motives of one of my antagonists as well as foreshadowed his own end.
