I’m Heather Carrington. This is my writing journey!

Over ten years after completing my master’s thesis, I feel compelled to re-examine it and delve deeper into its themes. A large part of this blog will deal with western films and what they say about our history and ourselves as a society.

At the same time, I will explore the craft of fiction writing as I attempt to write my own novel. Given my deep interest in in historical patterns: the rise and fall of civilizations, the corruption of power, and basic motivations behind it all, I’ve chosen to write in the dystopian-fantasy-adventure genre. I am still in the drafting stage but will share updates on my progress towards publication and the lessons I learn in the process.
